When you feel you cannot go on because you are too tired or too depressed, or because you
believe you have nothing more to give or to learn, or worse, you believe you have wasted your life and it’s too late to change things now, you need to rekindle your spirit and motivation to keep going. You need to fall in love with your life. To fall in love with your life, you must review your life’s story from the beginning to now through loving eyes, and appreciate even the moments that nearly broke you. Like any great story, yours is filled with discoveries, adventures, challenges, suspense, passion, and every emotion as your character develops through conflicts, the struggle to survive, to achieve a dream, to belong, to be loved, to know who you are and what you believe, and to be happy or at peace.
Your character experiences illness and healing, friends and foes, triumph, defeat, and loss. Your journey on this planet is uniquely yours, and your story means all that you have leaned along the way. When you begin to see every moment of your life as sacred, you will understand there is no such thing as nothing. There is only something. Time cannot be wasted. Even staring out the window, daydreaming, remembering, or contemplating is doing something. The best insights or inspiration can come from silent stillness. When you think of the wonder of living, of being human, one of billions on this planet, all looking up to the same sky overflowing with stars and other planets, you will have no regrets because you know every breath you take is a miracle. Just to be here, to stand here, and to open your eyes to this beautiful and fantastic place we call Earth is enough to fall in love with your life.
You have been like a child fearlessly flying on the back of a dragon, never knowing exactly
where it might take you. You have made plans, but you know now from experience there are so many unknowns for which you cannot plan, but the risk you must take every day to head into the future will lead to another adventure that will be worthwhile, no matter the outcome. Something tells you that life always goes on.
Like the endless galaxies and ever expanding universe, your life story is eternal and infinite, and if you trust your heart, it will take you where you need to be. When you feel grateful for all you have lived, you will fall in love with your life. Then, in a flash, you will jump back up on that magical dragon and fly joyfully to the next adventure, with all the enthusiasm and faith of a child. No matter what is ahead, it will be good, and you will be better, stronger, and happier for it. Embrace the journey, the changes, and all the unknowns. Every day is a new day with something good to offer and something good that you can do. Just keep flying! Godspeed!
